How can I configure the Change History macro on Confluence Cloud?

Hi,

I want to use the change-history macro but I only want to see the 5 most recent versions.
The documentation says that you can configure the number of displayed version but this doesn't work for me. I 'm never prompted the option nor a can edit the macro parameters.
I'm using confluence cloud.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Jean-Philippe Ehret,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The documentation you found is most likely for Confluence Data Center, the change history macro for Confluence Cloud does not have any parameters that you can set.

Alright...hard to understand why cloud users couldn't get it but anyway, that's life.
Thank you!

@Mikael Sandberg It would be really nice to get this on Confluence Cloud.

How can we raise this as a feature request?

Where can we log feature requests for Confluence macros? I've used the Change History macro to show the latest change on all my pages. I can't imagine any reason for Atlassian to remove the parameter to limit the list of changes from the Cloud version when the Data Center version worked so well.

We are facing the same.

Used it on many pages which have a longer load time now, and are wasting space.

We can workaround the second issue with a table filter, but it still slows it down and is kind of bonkers.

Same issue here, makes no sense.

We had that feature in our on-prem, migrating to the cloud is more like regressing to the cloud !

100%. Some of our documents have lots (50+) edits and with it displaying every edit the page is unusable. I say that as sometimes pages get printed out and the title block is necessary.

Going to the cloud was one of my biggest regrets over the server version (maintenance aside). I personally don't see why this macro needed to regress. In my humble opinion most people would only want to see maximum 5 edits when using this. Not forgetting that all of the edits are available at the top, with diff so you can see what exactly was changed.

So, Please, make this a reality. Right now I am almost at the point of removing this from the title block and going back to the manual versioning.
It can't be that hard, or get some smarter people if it is.
