How can I assess the size of a space?

Ed Snow March 5, 2024

I am working to understand our space situation.

I am aware of the manage content / attachments list in the space settings. I am also aware of the REST API to list attachments.  But I don't see any other way to determine which spaces are space hogs or why.

I had assumed that attachments would be the dominate item, but it's only reporting as 20% of storage in use (using the REST API to list all attachments and sum the size.

Are there any other sources of information I could use?

Hi @Ed Snow ,

This link has some information: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Finding-storage-usage-of-Confluence-space-and-page-using-REST/qaq-p/2119499

Unfortunately Atlassian's documentation on storage space scanning has disappeared.
