Hi @Natalia Gonzalez

Welcome to the community!

To transfer ownership to someone else, first open the More actions (...) menu.

  • Select View ownership, then Change owner.
  • Use the search field to find a new owner by name or email. The new owner must have access to the space and edit access to the item for you to be able to make them the owner.
  • Once you’ve chosen the correct person, select Change owner to confirm the transfer.

You can find more info in this article: Transfer ownership of your content item

Hope this helps!

Best regards

Sam

Thank you very much for your warm welcome, time and help.

I imagine I should have a specific permission to be able to do it, which one it should be? My boss is the owner of the account and wants to grant me this access.

Hi @Natalia Gonzalez

To edit a page, you don't need to be the owner; you just need access to the Space.

  • Go to the space in Confluence Cloud.
  • Select Space Settings in the sidebar.
  • Select the tab relevant to whose permissions you want to change:
    • Users to add or remove individual people, or change their permissions
    • Groups to add or remove groups, or change a group’s permissions
    • Guests to add or remove guests, or change their permissions
    • Anonymous access to allow or block anonymous users from accessing your space, or to change what permissions they have in the space
  • Select Edit.
  • Find the row for the user, group, or guest and check or uncheck boxes for the available permissions

Thank you very much! I finally was able to have available the "change owner" option, but when I attempeted it prompted me "Failed to transfer ownership". By any chance do you know if there is any workaround?

Hi @Natalia Gonzalez

Please ensure that you have Admin permissions for the Space whose ownership you wish to modify.

Best regards

Sam

I understand I do have the permission, my boss provide it. Just don't understand why is not allowing me to make the action possible.

Hi @Natalia Gonzalez

Can you provide the steps to see if I can reproduce this internally and a screenshot of the error?

Thanks

Sam
