How Can I Enable Other Teams to View and Comment on Our Confluence Site Without Editing Rights?

Background: I am a Marketing Administrator managing a Confluence site. I need to enable teams outside my marketing team to view our Confluence content and leave comments, but without granting them editing rights.

Requirements:

• Teams outside the marketing team should have read-only access to our Confluence space.
• Teams outside the marketing team should be able to leave comments on the content.
• Teams outside the marketing team should not have editing rights.

Additionally: As a Marketing Leader, I need to manage user groups by adding and removing users to control access and manage permissions within these groups.

Acceptance Criteria:

1. Teams outside the marketing team can view (read-only access) the marketing Confluence space.
2. Teams outside the marketing team can leave comments.
3. Teams outside the marketing team cannot edit the content.
4. The marketing leader can add and remove users from their user group.
5. The marketing leader can manage permissions within their user group and specific groups.

Question: What steps should I follow to configure these settings in Confluence? Are there any best practices or considerations I should be aware of to ensure smooth implementation and management?

Granting the permissions to edit groups, requires permissions to be granted within Atlassian Administration.

The Marketing Leader should be granted the user admin access roie.
