Hi, I want to know if Confluence (Cloud) can hide private spaces when searching for content. Of course, if I share private content out to someone and give them permission to view my content, then it should be searchable. However, to optimize search, it would be best to differentiate private and public information. Thanks!
@Zhao-Yang Zhong Welcome to the Atlassian community
If you have access to the content, then it will show up in search. Each user will see only the content that they have access to. So, if you have access to a private space it will show up in search if another user has not been provided access to that space, then they will not see the content. Admins will have different access as well. I am assuming that you are using space permissions to make a space private by limiting it to specific users or groups - https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/assign-space-permissions/
Hi Brant, thanks for your response. I understand that changing access rights will solve the problem, but that would require me to individually adjust all permissions for everyone. I was curious if there is a feature to hide all private space access since it contains mostly personal notes. Again, the content in the private spaces can be searchable, if the searcher is provided access.

@Zhao-Yang Zhong the only way to hide it would be to change the permissions. There might be an app in the marketplace that could do this but I am not aware of one.
