I have an page with an embedded database showing a specific entry.
I don't want this view of the data to contain all of the database fields.
Has anyone found a way to hide the fields in an embedded view like I can on the main database view?
(Also how annoying is it that you can't edit the embedded view one it has inserted. It's just a dumb smartlink)
'dumb smartlink' is a beautiful oxymoron :)
You can only narrow it down to a specific entry
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hopefully embedded database views get some love. Databases in confluence are maturing to the point where they are almost usable for me, but the inability to better control the embedded view is a bit of a show stopper for my use case.

I agree with you, I've dealt with the exact same requests on this forum several time in the last couple of months.

We solved it by creating a view in the original Database and embedding the view only, would that solve your problem?

It's an interesting workaround but it doesn't solve my issue (at least in an optimal way).
I have 100 page that I want a filtered database view embedded on. I would then need to create a filtered view for each of these pages.
Adding a link to a view from the original database renders the data horizontally, not vertically like the actual db embed.
