Hide email adress in people directory

Hi everyone,

I have restricted the email visibility as described in the following link:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/user-email-visibility-138596.html

This worked a while but now, obviously something changed and the emails are shown in the people directory.

Could anyone help me, what I should do know to hide them again?

I also tried to turn of and on the option in Security Options.
Its activated for "administrators only".

What version of Confluence are you on? I'm on 7.6.0 and when I set that value to administrators only the email addresses disappear.
