Is there a way to hide active pages from displaying in the left navigation? I'm creating a database of resources based on topic - for example, a topic might be "Payroll" and there are 15 resources that fall under Payroll. I don't want to show links for all 15 related resources.

Is there a way to hide child pages?

Other than restricting them, you could move them above the Home page and they won't show up in the nav bar

Are you aware of a tutorial that shows how to move them above the home page? I must be missing something because I can't drag pages above the home page.

Hi @Brookebarton and welcome to the Community.

@Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM is correct on the technical solution.

From the content perspective, I would create a new space for Payroll pages and apply restrictions for the entire space.

In the long run, it will be easier to manage - both in terms of your documents life-cycle management AND in terms of permissions and access.

Hi @Brookebarton ,

With our App, Advanced Content Navigator, you can do this!

Steps to show only some pages for a tree:

  • Insert the macro on any page you wish
  • Use the filter feature to filter for the expected pages. You can use labels, for example.
    • You might need to add labels to the expected pages first
  • Press "Save this view", and next time you load this page, it will show only what you just set!

With ACNC you can also

  • show unread/updated pages
  • manage page statuses + add a page assignee
  • filter for many things, in multiple spaces, including whiteboards and databases

Let me know if you like it! :)
