Hi all,

Plan: free

I'm creating a document for the user guide. I want to know how I should add a heading with bullet points. I use a table of contents with numbers but how can I add hedding with number bullet points?

@Oshadhi Vindhyani It looks like you want to use the following settings in your Table of contents macro:

  • Bullet style = Mixed
  • Select the Include section numbers checkbox

Hi.. Thank you for this answer I did the same as you showed. But still, there are Numbers in the table of contents but not when it comes to the document.
How can add the same numbers to the document heading?

@Oshadhi Vindhyani You need to actually number your headings. Then, you may be able to clear the Include section numbers checkbox—experiment with this once you have the headings numbered.

As far as how to number the headings, you can start with this article (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/App-Central/Numbered-Headings-in-Confluence-3-kinds-of-solutions/ba-p/2315914 ) or search the Questions area for answers posted to related questions.

@Oshadhi Vindhyani a bullet point in front of numbering and not as a numbering option is not something we considered for our app Numbered Headings by Easy Apps (built in Forge).

I'm curious to know why you like this format. Intuitively is seems odds to start with a bullet, but I know you have a reason/logic and I bet you are not the only one.

Feel free to email me stavros@easyapps.app.
