Has anyone figured out how to update a Confluence Database from fields in JSM Issues?

David Helfrich February 23, 2024

We enabled the Database beta in Confluence because we had already been looking for a way to store some JSM data and thought this would be the winner.  So far, it seems pretty useless.

I'm looking to do things like:

  • Keep a count of the number of times we've reached out to users on their issues with no reply.
  • Create an average rating per reporter, based on a custom number field in their issues.
  • Track how many times an issue gets a certain label, or resolution type based on a certain user (either as a reporter or stored in another field).

But so far I don't see any way to actually tie this "database" to any actual data source in Jira.

Databases was a Confluence app created by K15t as Orderly Databases.

Atlassian acquired the app when it was still beta.

I don't think it was ever intended as a Jira app.
