Has Atlassian wiped free Confluence instances recently?

Andy O_ August 2, 2020

I had a ton of documentation in a free instance and since I just got an email saying that I need to log in in the next 30 days, I logged in and was greeted by only this:

Spaces appear here after you create or view them.

Nothing in any of the various spaces in the space directory either.

UPDATE

Atlassian has provided a link to me where I could reach my space, even though I didn't see it in either my home or the space directory. One day later, the space had also appeared in my home.

Hi @Andy O_

Sorry to hear about this problem.  I created a support case on your behalf over in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-591476

There is an option in that page to allow Atlassian access to the data on that site, this might be necessary for us to investigate this further.

Thanks, I granted the permission just now.

Hi @Andy O_

Are you the only one who can access this site? And are there any spaces or nothing at all?

If there are spaces, you could check the trash for pages:

  1. Go to a Space and select Space Settings from the left-hand menu
  2. In the Settings, select Content Tools > Trash
  3. Check multiple Spaces (if there are any) for any recently deleted pages, etc

^ If not, what was the email requiring you to login referring to?

Yes, only I can access it. There are no spaces.

The email said: "Please note that if your site continues to remain inactive, it will be deactivated on 2020-09-01"

But... that's still a few weeks in the future.

Hi, @Andy O_ !

I'm using a free plan too and my Confluence works.

You should write to Atlassian support in this case!
