We'd like to create a space, where we can invite guests to where we render excperts from our main-page, without giving access to guest to our main-space. As sort of a documentation or reporting space/page. Testing this results for the guest in that error though:
Error rendering macro 'excerpt-include' : User 'XYZ72399' does not have permission to view the page 'name of the main space'.
I thought of creating a page in our main space and restricting all other pages for guest, but probably the same will happen, since we render again from a then restricted page.
We wanted to use this so we don't always need to copy/past content.
Any other ideas?
@David Shapira In order for an excerpt to work the user needs to have access to the page it is coming from. I am not aware of any delivered functionality that will allow you to accomplish what you are trying to do without sharing out all of the pages. In the past, we have organized all public information in a space and then pulled information from their back into our documentation. We have also used space sync before to keep specific pages in sync. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225377/space-sync-for-confluence-copy-publish-pages-over-sites?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
