We have a small business consisting of 2 owners and 3 office staff, totaling 5 persons. We would like to have a space for all 5 people as well as a space for just the 2 owners.
Although we have set up 2 groups where all are included and where just the owners are included, we are not able to select access to the spaces in order to keep some documentation visible to only the 2 owners.
Is my scenario possible in the free version of Confluence?
Hi @Julia ,
As per official documentation: Add or remove content restrictions, space permissions, and page restrictions are not customizable and available inthe Free plan.
You would have to upgrade to Standard plan or higher to have this feature within the same site.
Potentially, you could create two separate Free sites where on one, you would add only owners and leave the current one for everyone, but that comes with double administration and some limitations so I wouldn't recommend it.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tom
If those two users only need to read content, there's a solution how to make the content available to them thru an app and using SAML SSO (they can access the selected content, but the public can't).
But it requires a paid app and if you don't have the SAML SSO setup already in place, then upgrading to Standard, as @Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ suggested, would be the way to go.
