Google Apps integrated confluence. How to disable JIRA as landing page

Ben Skelton December 4, 2011

Hi,

we've signed up to experiment with with GA integrated confluence. In order to get the GA integration we have signed up also for jira although nobody in our organization will use this. The integration with GA is worth the additional cost.

What we'd like to do however, is switch off jira for all users and in particular not to have jira as the landing page when we come to AOD. This is so as not to confuse anybody in our organization with stuff they don't know about or use.

While we can hide the tabs in the UI, we still land on the Jira dashboard. Is there a way to configure the system to land on the confluence dashboard instead?

cheers,
--Ben

If you revoke application access to JIRA for all users, then it should redirect them to the Confluence dashbaord after they login.

Information on how to revoke application access can be found here.

Thanks Michael.

It turns out that you can't disable Jira for administrator users and other user's will still be confronted with the Jira dashboard page on login. That's enough confusion (our users are very simple people) for us to look at the jira-less option.
