We have various people within our organization who want to force a review of Confluence pages and require approval prior to the pages being published. Specifically, they wish to control Confluence pages in such a way that the content is essentially View-Only. I know how to lock down permissions at the space level and at the page level to control content, but what I'm being asked for sounds like a job for GITHUB... something which would require a PR to merge requested changes to a document, which would then be published as view-only content within Confluence.
Despite my reluctance to pursue this approach, I understand the need for control of some content in this manner. Is there a recommended solution for such a use case?

@Randy O_NealWhile I'm not aware of a way to control Confluence pages with a PR, there are a couple of add-ons in the marketplace, which allow a similar workflow. The keyword here is "Document Control" (we make one of these add-ons: Document Control ).
Confluence is a great collaboration tool however unfortunately it doesn't have a great method to help control content and manage a review process
Having said that, this is where the Atlassian Marketplace can extend your experience with Confluence. The Atlassian Marketplace has some really cool tools to help fill the gap for your lifecycle and review process of your pages and content. While you are unlikely to find a 'pull request' type approach for Confluence, one option for you to consider would be Comala Document Management.
Comala Document Management is available on the Marketplace and you can try it for free for 30 days for Confluence Cloud, Data Center or Server. If you want to learn more you can check out our webinars here.
