Force upgrade of templates

Frode Skjerli November 20, 2014

We are upgrading a server from Confluence 3.5.5 to 5.x going thru 5.0.3 to convert pages and page-templates.

We experience that some of the content are not fully converted (unmigrated). These pages are adjusted to the best of our knowledge and we make a new run with the relevant upgrade tasks here

Confluence Address/admin/force-upgrade.action

It seems to be working ok for regular pages but the pageTemplateWikiToXhtmlMigrationUpgradeTask seems to be doing nothing and the logs states that there are 0 candidates for upgrade.

Is there a way to make sure that the command actually handles the modified page-templates and make a new conversion attempt?

Thanks for any help!

Hello Frode, assuming here you are using the Migration to Wiki Markup to XHTML.. page as guidance, search the logs for WikiToXhtmlMigrationThread after triggering the force migration. Also make sure that any macros that are in the page that are not bundled are removed, backing up the content in a separate text document.

As a follow up to the actions above, please post an image of your current templates that are not being migrated should the issue persist.

Hope this can help.
