First row of data in table displays "in boxes" and doesn't obey header sort

This just started happening a couple weeks ago on pages that have been around for years. It only happens to some people. And for some people it is reproducible and for others it appears randomly.

The first row of data in a table has "boxes" around the data in the cell. And when you click to sort on a column header, the first row doesn't obey the sort. It's almost like the page thinks that first row of data IS a header?

I am also facing this issue in confluence. Suddenly all first row's changed as sorting box. This is due to table header with sorting. And there is no disable option for sorting. We can follow below ways to remove box in first row until we get permanent solution,

  • Removing the header and keep first row with grey background.
  • Merge any 2 cells, so sorting will disappear

Thanks - I simply removed the heading format from the header row of the table, saved the page, then re-edited and put the heading format back.  Seems to have fixed it.

Can we get this fixed, please Atlassian?
