Hello all,
we are currently merging two different confluence instances to a new (third) one.
Therefore we want to migrate some spaces and even pages.
I know you can export and import whole spaces, which is already great.
But how can I export a page with subpages and import them to a new confluence and even another (new) space.
Thanks for your support
Hello @Jean-Michel Ochmann ~ you can export selected pages in either HTML or pdf format as shown below which you can then import into your other instance. @Marc - Devoteam is correct though that importing may strip out markup. I've done this recently and had to do a bit of reformatting once I imported, but it was definitely better than recreating from scratch. HTH
hey @Laurie Sciutti thanks for the advice.
Can you tell me aswell, how I can import them back into another instance?
Best
Jean

Hello @Jean-Michel Ochmann ~ have a look here and just import the file you exported from your other instance.

Maybe "Backup" is the way to go?
In Confluence 9.1:
In previous version (e.g. 7.19.x) there was an option to export to XML (the storage format) along with the options HTML and PDF.
So it depends on what version you are using, how spaces are exported.
Here is the current documentation:
Hope this helps ...

Pages and related sub pages can only be exported as word or pdf.
You can import this into a space in another instance, but I seem to remember that the whole markup is gone.
The only real option is to export the space by choosing the pages in the space export, then import this and move to the required space in the new Confluence instance.
