How Can I export a chart in a JIRA Gadget to PDF or Word? All I get in the exported document is a link to the chart.

We have just released the Intelligent Reporter plugin which allows you to easily create reports including charts and tabular/JQL based data. Recreating your gadget as a report will give you the information you require, with complete control over the formatting and layout as well.
