Excel 2007 - Unreadable content when opening files

Hi guys,

 

I have a user on the netwerk running windows 7 and Excel 2007.

On a lot of files he tries to open from a network location he receives an error 'unreadable content'. He is requested to repair the file; if he does so he looses some layout details etc...

This happens not always... Somethimes he can open the same file without problems by retrying.

The user claims the problem also occurs on files witch he has created himself.

 

Office and Win7 are up-to-date. Problem remains...

It might be hard to determine the root cause of Excel file being corrupted. This might happen due errors when creating/saving the file, network glitch or copying and pasting corrupted data from another source.
