Unable to import xml zip file into my personal confluence account (from another confluence where I have the xml in zip). I have an error "cant import a space due to existing space key".
I have no spaces in trash, hae been permanently deleted. Unsure if Atlassian need to clear some cache or something off their cloud but i would of thought permantly deleting trash would clear anything out? but how do I solve this issue?unable to proceed with the function of the product without this import working

Hi @Alice V and welcome to the Community.
You can try changing the space key before you export the space, see if the import works, than change it back.
On your target Confluence, also check archived spaces.
Clicking go to Settings will take you to where you find all thrashed spaces. (Sorry if you've done this, but many people don't so I'm posting this 'just in case' :) )
