One of my Confluence users wants to be able to embed a Google sheet into a Confluence page and be able to auto-update/synchronize the page so that when the Google sheet is updated, the page can then be updated either manually or automatically. If this can be done without an add-on, great! If not, which add-on would you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your input/advice!
Ben
Simply paste the link of the Google sheet, make sure hyperlink is active, hover on the link and select Embed.
Requirement is to have access to the document with the user logged in to Confluence.
This will expand the sheet and you will have the ability to update the values on any platform and have it synced automatically.
I simply use an iframe with the link to a Google document - the only thing I'm adjusting is the behavior (size) of the iframe. If you allow it to run full screen, viewers will the luxury of seeing the full-size spreadsheet :)
This way, the Confluence page acts as a passive viewing environment so it always displays the the document as it exists at any given moment.
Obviously, whoever views the page must also have access to the Google spreadsheet. We're taking advantage of how our SSO is set up.
