Hi everyone,
Do you know if there's a simple way to grab an .md file from a page in Github (i.e., a README file), and then embed it on a Confluence page? I am hoping for a plugin and a macro that would let me achieve this. (The closest thing I saw pertaining to a Git macro was described at https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/160993/confluence-git-plugin.) I'm assuming there's nothing like this out there, but I figured I would double check.
You can use Markdown for Confluence's Markdown-url macro with url that points to the GIT raw file.
I tried embedding the git raw file ulr using an iframe inside an html macro but that shows as empty... should I expect the Markdown-url macro so succeed in such cases?

First, I just want to say, I'm absolutely disgusted by the fact that I had to log in to get this answer, second, thank you for the information, but no thanks..

Hi @Mohammed Davoodi - I'm trying to utilize your plugin, but am getting 404s when following the instructions. And then the documentation area supporting the Github markdown shows stuff for bitbucket. Can you please help?
Thanks!
~Naomi

@Naomi Watnick would love too, could you please send me an email. You can find the email on the contact for the marketplace listing (I would post it here but I don't want to have bots start sending us emails).

Do you use Confluence Server or Cloud? If Cloud you can check out Github links for Confluence App.

For those searching for a solution in 2021, Atlas Authority's Markdown Macro lets you embed markdown on a wiki page (via a URL or you can just input markdown manually).
Unlike the other solutions on this page, it's only available Server and Data Center as of right now.
