I am trying to edit the word and PowerPoint documents attached to teh Confluence page but upon opening the attachment I don't see 'Edit' option at the top right.
How can I edit the attachments in real time directly from Confluence?

You can't modify the attachment directly.
Please download it locally to modify and re-upload.
