Draft draw.io diagram is gone on Confluence Cloud

Need some help with an issue for Draw.io on confluence cloud, I have been drawing a draw.io diagram in a draft confluence page when I accidentally closed the tab, I am trying to find back the diagram but no clue! anyone has any idea where the draft diagrams go?

The interesting thing is if I try to create a new one with the same name, it fails with already exists error!

Can anyone help with that?

Hi Mohamed,

Since you have already contacted us via support@draw.io, we wrote all the details there.

It was suggested to take a look at "Activity" and "Your work" > Drafts or Recently worked on
or in draw.io diagrams section on the left (in the space where a page was created)

The draft was found after publishing Confluence page in Attachments section (under three dots on the top right) so this was an example of great collaboration between draw.io and a user :)

Thanks Mohamed for your time.

Marija,

Hi! This was about to work for me but the attachments show as lines of code like:

<mxfile host="confluence.draw.io" modified="2020-05-13T08:29:23.575Z" agent="5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/81.0.4044.138 Safari/537.36" version="13.1.1" etag="dJ4GwpFsXcE3EF23QuCp"><diagram id="C5RBs43oDa-KdzZeNtuy" name="Page-1">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</diagram></mxfile>

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Hi,

did you publish a Confluence page where a diagram was initially created, please?

If you are not able to see a diagram, you could add a new draw.io macro, click

Extras > Edit diagram (in draw.io editor) and copy/paste the whole code from above.

Yous should be able to see a diagram and save it.

Does this help?

Kind regards,

Marija

Hi Marija,

Yes, this code was produced through the steps you mentioned above. The Edit Diagram works!

Thanks for saving my hours of work!

Best,

JC

So glad I could help :)

Keep enjoying draw.io and have a nice day dear JC.

Regards,

Marija
