Does the /children display macro have a max size?

- If the depth of descendants and number of children are not set, and even if they are, this macro doesn't seem to show all the children in the list. Shows 4 and that's all

- Even with the smallest heading size set, and no matter what Excerpt Display is set to (ideally I would like rich content)

Hey Josh, have just noticed the SAME issue! I reckon this is a server-side fix for a bug in the Atlassian code. You changed Confluence versions recently?

We just upgraded to Data Centre from server, and quite a few of our home pages/index pages just flat-out failed with a timeout error. These all had the child-pages macro on them with maybe 40 or more pages to display as links. 

The fix appears to be "limit the return to 4"

Based on the following documentation https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-children-display-macro/ no limit should be present.

I just performed a check on my istance and more than 4 pages are retrieved through that macro.  Are u sure that there are no page restrictions that limit your view?
