We are looking in to different ways to move a team from using Teams/Sharepoint/OneDrive to Confluence and found the option to use the Import from OneDrive as described in this documentation:
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/import-content-into-confluence-cloud/
However I can't figure out if this requires a plugin or what is required to set this up and would very much appreciate support to learn more about this to evaluate if this feature could be useful for us or not.
When I try to use it I get a message that I need admin approval, would that be Atlassian admin or Azure Admin and are there any guides to help me as Atlassian Admin understand how this works?

Everything from the article that you have posted is correct. It works when you create a page, on the right side you would have Templates and Import, where Import would be selected and it would give out three options that are possible for importing. Now since everything requires account logging in except for importing the Word documents, you need to have access to those accounts.
As for admin requirement, within the space on Confluence you need to go to:
For this you would need to be a space administrator in order to grant permissions.
I'm already space admin so there must be something else messing this up for me. Trying to use Import OneDrive on my site admin account it takes me to the window for "This site is trying to launch OneDrive. Do you want to continue?" and when I hit Continue it sends me to a window saying "This file can't be imported"
When I do this on my account that isn't Jira Admin but admin of the space I'm told I need Admin approval.
