Does having an IP allowlist limit public links?

Paul Moser April 29, 2024

Hello,

quick question. Does having an ip allowlist limit the use of public links outside the configured ip-adresses too? or is it just for the users who want to sign in to the plattform?

Thank you in advance.

Greeting,
Paul

Hi @Paul Moser and welcome,

based on the following article https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/specify-ip-addresses-for-product-access/ users should be able to access information (confluence spaces/pages) only if they try to do that from an IP in the allowlist.

So, if you have a public page with anonymous access, that information will be accessible just from an IP in the allowlist.

Hope this clarifies,

Fabio
