Hi,
I'm trying to automate task creation within confluence whereby if the value of a field in a table = yes then create a new task and assign it to a specific person.
Is something like this possible with a macro or similar?
Out of the box no, as Confluence task lists are really meant to be follow up actions, nothing more. This kind of work is normally intended for Jira and can be done via Automation for Jira.
If your Confluence instance has scriptrunner then you could create a script for it to do something like this, but it wouldn't be something from Atlassian that allows this. I do see you are on server, so I am unsure if you aren't already using ScriptRunner if you would be able to get it for Server as Server is being deprecated in 2024 and no new licenses of Confluence can be purchased only renewed. However Data center licenses do work in Server usually.
Best,
Clark
