When I use the Labels List macro, I get a HUGE list of alphabetized labels, very few of which are actually being used on pages. When I click on a label, no pages are found with the label. This is happening with a vast majority of the labels in the list. Where are these labels coming from? I am restricting the search to one space that I'm very familiar with. Could the labels be on deleted pages?
Hi @Debra Anderson welcome to the Atlassian Community.
Please be informed, when a page is deleted the labels associate are not deleted automatically. In your scenario, either you might be seeing the labels which are on restricted pages or the deleted labels.
Either ways, if you have Confluence admin rights, you might view and manually delete labels that are not in use.
