Does Confluence have REST API to create user accounts and add the accounts to a group?

Creating accounts in the internal directory and adding those to groups via ScriptRunner is possible but I can't find a way to do the same by sending a POST or PUT request.

Hi Rinaldi, I think this is what you're looking for. According to Atlassian's Confluence API Guide  I see calls to create users and group operations.  I'm no expert on APIs, but that should get you close.

Hope that helps.

Oh my.... I couldn't find a REST API doc with Create user mentioned in it for hours! Thank you so much! 🔥

This is exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks 👍

I was actually looking for documentation for Confluence Data Center.
