This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Page Restrictions
If I as the space admin, restrict certain pages in the space, when (non-admin) users do searches in that space, will the search results return hits on the pages I've restricted?
And in the greater sense, does restricting pages effectively HIDE those pages from the restricted users? Or can they see the restricted pages exist (in the TOC for example), but just not access them.
Broadly speaking, yes, child pages inherit restrictions. See the middle section in https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/page-restrictions-139414.html for the exact rules (note that it changed a bit a few versions ago, so if you're not on 5.9, go back and select the one you are on!)
