In researching how searches work in Confluence, one of the factors that affects search results is popularity based on the number of incoming links from other Confluence articles.

Do incoming links from Jira also count?

What about incoming links form other sources?

Yes, they are, if they are "active", that is Confluence has a track-back of some sort.   Anything that appears in the "incoming links" section in the page information is counted.
