When I paste the URL of a Jira ticket in a Confluence page, this is automatically transformed into a macro.
That's really useful when I display the page since it automatically shows the title of the ticket and its current status. However in edit mode, I can see only the ticket number and things get really confusing when there are multiple macros.
For example, during a meeting a share my screen with a Confluence page and take notes in real time. In this case, I'd like to see the ticket titles in addition to the ticket numbers.
Is there a way to display that?
Hi @Muffo
I understand you well! This happens to me a lot, too.
What I'm doing: Wait! Atlassian made an announcement, where they plan to do "live macros", which means, what you see, is what you get in the edit mode. Therefore, your problem should be solved.
But, the announcment is a long time ago. I found two blog posts (second) and a youtube video from summit 2018 in Barcelona, where they introduced live macros for confluence cloud. I'm not a cloud user and i'm not sure, whether this is implemented yet.
I hope, this feature will come soon to confluence server.
Regards,
Dominic
Thanks a lot for the exhaustive answer! I'll look forward to using this new improved editor. I am also not a cloud user and I know this will take a while...
