Disabling the visibility of the Insert excerpt field name in Word or PDF

Hámori Gergő

Hello everyone,

I would like to display dynamic content in my main document using the Insert excerpt feature, but I am disappointed to find that:

  1. Nothing appears when using a public link.
  2. When generating a PDF or Word document, more content appears than expected; specifically, the name of the Insert excerpt field also shows up above the dynamic content.

This doesn't make much sense in a PDF or Word document...

Does anyone have a solution for the issues mentioned in points 1-2?

Thanks,
Geree

Hey @Hámori Gergő  ,

I just tried the functionality you've described in my instance and both points were ok, so, a couple of ideas:

  • The page with excerpted content may have some restrictions applied, so the content is not shown, when shared by public link.
  • If there are no restrictions, you may try using "Include page" macro and check, if the content is shown.
  • Regarding the name of excerpt, it can be "avoided". When adding excerpt it will ask you to provide the name, but you can actually click outside the parameters panel and the name will be empty. I checked the export and it doesn't seem to show any redundant content.

Ping me, if it won't help, we can brainstorm a bit together.
