Good morning,
we recently introduced Confluence Cloud to some of our departments. They adapted it quite well but some of our "poweruser" got aware of the page restrictions option.
We would like to disable it entirely as we want to use spaces for "sensitive" stuff and not restrictions based on the page
Is this possible?
I have already edited the space restrictions
but it doesn't shows any effect. (Guess this is just for the space, not the pages)
Ist there a way to disable that option?
Best regards
Moritz
Hi @IT-Support
Disabling the circled permission in the second screenshot will stop users from adding new restrictions - although it's per Space, and it doesn't remove previously added restrictions, you'd need to remove those per page.
I don't believe you can disable this setting at a global level though.

You can view all the restricted pages per Space via Space Settings, to make removing them easier:
---
You can also set default permissions for new Spaces, so "restrict" permissions are disabled by default:

Let us know if this helps!

Tried to set the default permissions as well but even in my new space I still can edit the page restrictions -> the space permissions are now hidden.
Didn't work and I'm not sure if there is a way to disable this feature anyway.

Hi @IT-Support
You'd need Space Admin for this Space to access this Space's permissions.
Are you not setting yourself (or in general, Site Admins) to have the Space Admin permission?
