Hi Phillipe,

There is no way to turn off Track Changes for the Edit in Office feature in Confluence, it is configured in Word: Track changes in Word

If I save a .docx file with Track Changes turned on and then open it again in Word (without using Confluence) the Track Changes setting will still be on for that doc. My theory is someone is attaching the documents to Confluence pages with Track Changes saved as a property of the docs.

Please test my theory with these steps:

  1. Save a document with Track Changes turned off.
  2. Edit the document again in Word to make sure Word is not tracking changes.
  3. Attach the document to a test page in Confluence.
  4. Try the Edit in Office link and see if Track Changes is on for the attachment.

If you are using Office 2016, there seem to be known issues: Support Office 2016 with Edit in Office

I look forward to hearing what you find.

Thanks,

Ann

Hi Ann,

Thank you for your help. You are right it looks like you need to disable first this function and then upload it.

Well done. Great Job. Thank you.

Philippe
