Hi, I just checked the pricing for a marketplace App for Confluence Cloud (in this case Scroll exporter by K15t) and saw a discrepancy between the price given in Marketplace vs my estimate in the billing console. For example: On Marketplace the estimate for 25 Users is 22.50USD. My Billing estimate for the App installed on my 25-User-Confluence System is "only" 16.50USD. Can someone explain why this could bee the case or do I have to contact the vendor? Or What is the value you can trust more?

Hey @Simon König

Generally speaking, I believe the pricing displayed both via the Marketplace listing and in the Atlassian Administration Billing section should be matching, if the user number is defined the same. In both views, the price estimate would be excluding taxes. Therefore, differences between the estimate and actual amount charged can arise as a result of taxes being added on for the final payment.

However, if the Billing section estimate is appearing differently to the estimate given on the Marketplace listing, this could also be related to the number of active users in your Confluence instance. Within the Manage Subscriptions section of your instance, does the app entry for the subscription appear defined with 25 users?

Regards,
Thomas (K15t)

Those were exactly my thoughts,

25 users = $22.50

18 users = $16.20

@Simon König Guests are not counted towards billing costs as they're not 'paid for users'. Also, monthly payments are dynamic, always reflecting the actual user count and. User tiers (16-25 in this case) only apply to annual payment plans (you'd pay $225 whether you'd had 18 or 25 users).

Hi, thanks for your input. I based my assumption on the User Count directly in the Apps Billing Section. It does not show the Guest Users.

The Billing Estimate shows exactly 25 Users and a monthly Billing cycle.

We are (for now) still in the trial period, maybe that takes something in account.

Kind regards

Hi @Simon König

The estimate during the trial period might explain it.

The actual, billable, user count is best taken from your Atlassian Cloud Admin section/Overview tab. It shows the license type and the user count for your Atlassian Cloud apps (apps = Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Hi,

I got my data directly through Atlassian Cloud Admin. Overview and Billing are the same on both sites. (For User count)

Maybe it'll be clear after the trial ends.

Regards
