Deprecation of Search Results macro in Confluence legacy editor

Hello,

Looking at the Search Results macro documentation, it indicates this macro will be removed from the Legacy Editor.

We have hundreds of pages using this macro. When reviewing the provided documentation on which macros are being removed, the only "replacement" it offers for Search macros is:

Search Results: Create a normal link to search results page directly for your keyword(s)

Is this really suggesting that users will need to replace all the Search Results macros with links to a search results page? And in the case of multiple Search Results macros being used on one page, they are expected to navigate back and forth between search results pages when reviewing this information?

Will there be any communication as to when exactly this update is supposed to occur?

The macro is still there and will still work. You just cannot add it via the macro browser. You can still add it by using the wiki macro and using wiki syntax to add in the macro. Not ideal but it does work.
