Deleting and adding templates to the blue create button at the top ribbon

Hi,

Can you please help me understand the following:

1. When I go to the top ribbon of confluence, and hit the blue "create" button, it populates templates for me. Can you please help me understand how to delete these templates out of my recommended? 

2. If I delete the template out of my recommended, will it delete out of confluence permanently? How do I ensure it deletes the template ONLY and not the entire page 

3. Can you please help me understand how to add a template to my custom section in templates?

How do I restore a template I previously deleted?

@Hope Dunn I believe what you are referring to is the template browser. When you create a new page, this opens on the right side to give you options for formatting the page before you begin adding content. The templates disappear as soon as you start typing (see https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/create-a-page-from-a-template/ for more information).

Only space admins can delete or disable templates (that is, hide them from the list of available templates). This is described here: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/delete-or-disable-a-template/

You can use an existing page as a reference when creating a new template, but there's not like a button to transition a page into a template (probably because templates often use variables and placeholder text). Hi,

When creating the template I do not see the same options such as in the layouts portion, it does not give the option to only make 1 text box, only 2 or 3. can you help me troubleshoot this?

Hi @Hope Dunn. The available layouts are two columns, three columns, right sidebar, left sidebar, or three columns with sidebars. 

As our documentation explains, the biggest difference between template creation and the regular editing experience is that there’s no way to add images or attachments in templates. Hope that helps!
