Days Remaining till deadline in Confluence

Troy S April 14, 2012

I need to display the number of day until a deadline on the main page of a project. I figured out how to get the current date/time with:

Today: {report-info:global:current date|format=EEEE, MMMM dd, yyyy h:mm a}
Deadline: August 30, 2012
Days Remaining:  ?

But how do I set a variable for the Deadline?

How would I evaluate the Days Remaining till the Deadline?

Thanks,

Hi Tory,

Does this deadline come from a sprint in Jira? If you are using Greenhopper then it already has a days remaining gadget: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH/Using+the+Days+Remaining+Gadget

Thanks for you help Matthew. In this case, I am not using JIRA to track this project. This project is to track that all employees have completed a short online awareness course. So in this case the days to deadline is how many days we have until everyone has to complete the course. Thanks again.

Hello,

We have added Date type support to CelesteCS Math macro so you may use our macro to accomplish what you want. Just specify the EXCEL-style formula, like "DAYS(NOW(), DATE(2016, 04,17))".

Thanks!
