We have set our language to English (UK) and specified our date format in Confluence settings to be dd MMM yyyy.
However, for Confluence pages that are linked on Jira issues, we're seeing that the date format for the //date macro, when viewing the page in the pop-out/modal, is MMM dd, yyyy format, which is not what we want. It's shown correctly when viewing the very same page directly in Confluence.
Example screenshots are included (again, this is for the identical confluence page viewed in two different places).
Hi @IL
Welcome to the community.
I tried this as well and on the project pages option in the Jira project this will not change the format.
Raise this at Atlassian Support as a probable BUG, and see if this can be fixed.
Just putting this here for posterity: the source of the bug is that our Jira instance apparently had the default language set as English (US), and the Confluence pop-out in Jira uses the language settings from Jira, not from Confluence.

Hi @IL
I even changed my Jira language to English Uk , but the notation of the date format on the project pages option on a project still show English US notation.
