Custom Emoji's not uploading

Hello, anytime I try to create a custom emoji I get to this screen and the status indicator just spins.  I've tried with multiple different sized jpg and png files (extremely small) and every time I get to the point where the prompt displays the image to be uploaded, tells me "Your new emoji X looks great" but it just spins as pictured below and I can never actually use it:

I am having the same problem. No answers in one year, are we the only two people dealing with that spinner of death?

I just hit the same issue. I used this feature without a problem a couple of weeks ago, could be an old but that has regressed?

I've now tried with png and lpeg, chrome and safari browsers. Seems like it must be something on the Atlassian end

I'm experiencing the same issue. I was uploading emojis a few days ago and now it just spins endlessly. Seems that a few people have recently run into this, so I'm wondering if it's a new bug after a patch?
