Cursor skips to end of text line after hitting backspace/delete

Hello everyone,

A colleague of mine just pointed out a rather annoying "bug" he has been experiencing in the Confluence editor.

If there is an empty line between paragraphs, when you delete said line by using backspace or the delete key, the cursor jumps to the end of the following text line. If you don't notice this has happened, you're likely to start typing at the wrong part of the page, as this is not the expected behaviour of the cursor.

Some additional information:

• This happens randomly;
• The browser we're using is Google Chrome;
• I've recreated the problem and made a short video to demonstrate what happens, however I'm not able to upload it with this comment.

Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

This is still an issue and the ticket says "we suspect that this issue is no longer relevant" which is not the case.
