Hi,
In the new cloud editor, there is the possibility to add inline captions to a figure. Is there a way to make a cross-ref from the text to the captions/figure without much hassle? I mean that putting an anchor at the figure and then linking to it is an obvious solution; however, it took a lot of effort in the cases of many figures and tables.
@Maria Petkova I just want to clarify what you are trying to accomplish.
Are you trying to put a hyperlink on page B such that clicking the link jumps the reader to the place on page A where an image is?
I don't believe there is a way to do this without inserting an anchor on page A, and I don't think you can insert an anchor in a caption on an image. I don't know where/how you locate and select the figure in bullet 4 of @Humashankar VJ's response.
Also, since the caption appears below the image, the image would not be displayed when you jumped—the caption would be displayed at the top of the Confluence window.
Thank you for your answer.
Indeed, can insert an anchor in the image caption. However, as you stated since the caption appears below the image, the image would not be displayed when one jumps to it. That's why, the anchor is put just before the image.

Kindly Confirm that each figure in your Confluence page has an inline caption added to it using the new cloud editor
In the text where you want to create a cross-reference to a figure, manually create a hyperlink to the specific figure. To do this:
Hope this helps and happy to assist further !!
Thank you very much and have a fantastic day!

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, the last bullet of your answer is absolutely unclear to me - how I am locating the figure.

with your description, I can add a link to a Confluence page.
What I and I think also @Maria Petkova need is that on the page itself I have inserted a screenshot as figure01 with the caption text that Confluence gives as system solution and I want to link to this figure in a text on the same Confluence page.
