Hi,
I have created a button that is using the macro "create from template". However when that button is clicked, it takes me to the "All Updates" page for my space rather than creating a new page from the template I picked when creating the button. Am I missing something obvious?
After adding the 'create from template' button, you then need to point it to a template.
Edit the 'create from template' macro and see what you have listed in the "template name" dropdown.
Thanks for your response! I have selected a custom template that was previously created and have it in the drop-down, as seen here:
The interesting thing is that I have 4 "create from template" macros on the page, 2 work perfectly and 2 do not work at all. Here is a screenshot of one that works perfectly - from what I can tell the setup is the same:
I have been creating the new macro buttons from scratch, so I tried copying the one that worked & editing to create the new button from there, but unfortunately that didn't work either.
The templates were all created in the same way, too - so i'm at a loss. Is there a limit to how many buttons you can have on one page?
Thanks again for your reply!

I wouldn't think there is a limit to the amount of buttons you can have.
Try to point the button in question to another working template and see if the "on click" takes you to a new page based on that template.
If it works, create a very basic template just to see if there is an actual max, and then hook it up to your button.
If both work, it sounds like your "new process template" should be recreated as there is an issue with it.

@Jonathan Smith I just tried your suggestion - pointing the non-working button to one of the templates that is currently being used in the working button & I still see the same results. I also created brand new templates that are super simple (just a blank page and a tag) and that also did not work. I've re-created the macro from scratch and still nothing. I'm completely at a loss for this one. :(
Here is a video, maybe you'll see something i'm missing
thanks for all your help!

@Sydney Loy Delete the non working button, create a new one (lower on the page), point it to a new (simple) template to confirm it works. If so, move it up to your desired spot and point to the desired template.
The only other typical troubleshooting steps would be to clear your cache and/or re-index but I am not sure if this would fix.
If the steps above don't work, I would suggest contacting support. Normally i would have people check out the HTML at this point, but since we are working with macros, you will just see gibberish.
I am also on server so testing your situation wouldn't be "apples to apples".

YAYY! That did it!
I realized belatedly that the one that wasn't working was inside a table, that likely was . the culprit.
Thanks for all your help!

I blame those h3 settings :D.
Glad that worked!
