I'd like to have a link/button on a page that creates a new issue in Jira that is linked to the page it was created from. I'd also like to be able to list such linked issued on a page. Showing Jira issues on a page with JQL is simple, but I don't know how to make the issue-page linkage in the first place. I also want it to be dynamic, so that I could put that link in a template so each new page created from the template would be able to create Jira issues linked to back it.
The context of this question is to be able to raise discussions/suggestions about pages in Jira with all the Jira workflow support instead of simple unstructured comments in Confluence.
@Sergey Shishkin Welcome to the Atlassian community
You can create Jira issue links on a page or in the editor by following the steps detailed in this KB under create issues from inside Confluence https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-jira-and-confluence-together/ This is the closest way to do what you are asking for with the delivered Confluence product.
If you are creating an issue in Jira you can use an automation to create a Confluence page. you can follow the steps here to setup the automation. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Automating-the-creation-of-a-Confluence-page-linked-to-a-Jira/ba-p/1760738
Hi @Brant Schroeder ! Thanks for your reply. I've reviewed the docs but couldn't find anything of relevance to my question. I would appreciate if you could point me to a step-by-step example of how to have a button/link on a page that creates a new issue with some page metadata pre-filled?

@Sergey Shishkin If you would like the issue to be linked to the confluence page the two options above provide this functionality. If you just want to create an issue you can technically follow the steps here (I believe this still works in Cloud but have not tested it for about a year) https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-create-issues-using-direct-html-links-in-jira-server-159474.html

Yes, I'm aware of Jira create issue link format. If only I could pre-fill URL parameters with page metadata automatically...
