Copying source code from Word doc into Confluence Code Block macro

Stephen Kairys July 6, 2021

Hi,

If I have a block of Source Code in a Word doc, can I safely copy it into a Code Block Macro? From what I understand, code block macro is text-only.

I've tried to remove any formatting (e.g., bold) from the Word doc, but if I missed something, will Confluence transform it into a non-printable or otherwise troublesome character(s)?

Thanks.

Hi @Stephen Kairys

I think that you should be ok.  The macro allows you to select different programming languages and it will adapt to you selection.

Just give it a try and you will find out.
