Copying a Table

Mike Doughty August 10, 2019

How can you copy and paste a table within a page?

I have a table and when I try to copy it and paste it further down the page, it just pastes in the text and I lose the table format etc.

Thanks

Just highlight the entire table, then Ctrl+C then go to where you want the table and Ctrl+V (works at least in FireFox which seems to handle tables better than Chrome).

Hi @Mike Doughty

  • 1 : Create single cell table
  • 2 : Unformat header (remove header row)
  • 3 : Select all rows in source table
  • 4 : Copy rows (CTRL SHIFT C)
  • 5 : Place cursor in destination table
  • 6 : Paste rows (CTRL SHIFT V)
  • 7 : Delete last empty row in destination table

Please let us know if you still facing the issue
