I'm trying to add a section for blog posts on a confluence cloud page. When I set `Content Type to Display : excerpts`, it just pulls in a random (or not?) amount of text to display. I'd like to be able to write a brief summary at the top of the blog that would be pulled in as the "excerpt." Is that possible?

There is no way to define the amount of text the excerpt displays. You could submit a feature request here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
